Player | KATE CARLSON* Kate Carlson is a second-year undergraduate student studying Theatre, English, and Secondary Education. Previous university credits include Prince Escalus in Romeo and Juliet and Mia in Tony & Leo for New Play Festival. She would like to thank her friends and family for their support & her creative team for making this a fun and inventive experience. |
Player | ISABELLE VANILLA* Isabelle Vallina (she/her) is a second-year undergraduate student double majoring in theatre arts and communication studies, and she is very excited to be a part of this unique project with an amazing group of people. Previous university credits include: How to Defend Yourself (Nikki). |
Player | ESME HUTCHENSON-RUESS* Esmé Hutchinson-Reuss is a first-year Art and Theatre Arts major. In her spare time she enjoys illustrating graphic novels and songwriting. This is her first production with the UIowa Theatre Department and she is so excited to be a part of it! |
Player | JARED CLARK* Jared Clark is a senior studying Screenwriting and Cinema. This is his first show on stage with University of Iowa Theatre, however he's written, produced, and acted in multiple student films, often with Iowa's film organization Student Video Productions. Jared would like to thank his family and friends for helping him get here. |
Player | PATRICK O'BRIEN* Patrick O’Brien is a 3rd year theatre major here at the University of Iowa. This the first devised/improvised production he has taken part in here at the university. “This has been a new and exciting process. Shows that start political dialogue are vital in times like these and I’m honored to be part of a production that does just that.” |

Meet the Creative Team
Director | LUCAS NELSON* Lucas Nelson is a fourth-year English and Creative Writing and Theater Major. He’s also one of those nerds who likes to do improv. Lucas staged his last play, 2006, last year, and is grateful to have the opportunity to run it back with this wildly intelligent and talented group of people! He would like to thank his parents, Kristy Hartsgrove-Mooers, and everyone else who had to listen to him talk about this for the last few months. He’d also like to thank The Federal Theater Project: gone, but not forgotten. |
Stage Manager | MEG DYE* Meg Dye is a second year English Education and Theatre Arts major. She has worked on a few projects with the University, notably 2006, Ten Minute Play Festival, and New Play festival. She has really loved learning about improv with the wonderful cast. She would like to thank her car for taking her to and from rehearsal. She would also like to thank her amazing family for always supporting her ambitions! |
