Join members of The Original Pinettes Brass Band, “the ONLY female Brass Band in the Universe,” for a very special panel discussion on June 6! The talk, moderated by Tammie Walker, Director of the School of Music and Professor of Piano, will focus on the band members’ experiences as Black women musicians in the United States, as well as balancing their lives as performers with other careers.

This event is FREE and open to all, and we encourage musicians and community members of all races and genders to attend--just like Arts Fest! There will be time for audience questions.
