Dance Building opening celebration

Dance Building opening celebration promotional image

Our blockbuster year continues! In 2026, we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the University of Iowa's Bachelor of Arts in Dance—and we are moving the Department of Dance into our new home this fall.

The building that formerly housed the UI Museum of Art, next door to the Theatre Building, has undergone extensive renovation and will be filled with dancers when the fall semester begins!

Help make the Dance Building opening official by joining us for the community ribbon-cutting event.
