The University of Iowa’s student music and event planning club SCOPE Productions announced Smino, a rapper, singer, and songwriter, as the headlining artist for the UI’s 2026 homecoming concert. The concert will be held on the Pentacrest Friday, Oct. 30.

The communication studies graduate built a career at the intersection of storytelling and music. Now, a new commission brings those creative paths back to where they first converged.
